Ensuring Financial Precision in Global Trade

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Record Keeping & Reporting

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for all logistics, import/export transactions.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, balance sheets, cash flow) in compliance with local and international accounting standards.

Trade Finance & Compliance

• Manage accounts payable/receivable, ensuring timely processing of supplier invoices, customer payments, and customs duty reconciliations.

• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations (e.g., VAT, GST, withholding tax) and financial reporting requirements across different jurisdictions.

Cost Control & Budgeting

• Monitor and analyze logistics costs (freight, warehousing, customs clearance) to identify cost-saving opportunities.

• Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting to support business growth and operational efficiency.

Banking & Cash Flow Management

• Oversee foreign currency transactions, hedging risks, and managing exchange rate fluctuations.

• Reconcile bank statements and ensure sufficient liquidity for smooth import/export operations.

Audit & Internal Controls

• Support internal and external audits, providing documentation and resolving discrepancies.

• Implement and maintain robust internal controls to prevent fraud and financial mismanagement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with logistics, procurement, and sales teams to ensure accurate financial data flow.

• Provide financial insights to management for strategic decision-making (e.g., new trade routes, supplier terms).
